something i wrote in 06'......................

this is poetry,
nothing contained within these lines is flashy, no jewels, no rims,
maybe a pair of timbs, but that's only when I'm walking my way up the sides of your sky scrapers.
this is poetry,
no guns, knives or fist fights,
just life being spilled or poured rhythmically over the remains of slayed trees,
this is poetry,
no video hoes, only the occasional coffee shop chick soaking in each an every line that i spit,
this is poetry,
not the plight of a wanna bee emcee,
no street cred or hood credentials define me,
this is poetry,
i pour my soul out an watch my words provide nourishment to your minds,
this is poetry,
the foundation of Hip-Hop,
the voice of many,
the voice of the hungry,
the voice of the city,
the voice of the streets,
this is poetry,
it moves you,
uplifts you,
revives you,
confides in you,
because nothing is more honest then the black ink in the pen controlled by the mind scrolling poetic lines,
this is poetry,
it pisses you off,
makes you smile,
makes you think,
this is poetry,
no rules,
no regulations,
no right way to do this as long as your doing you,
this is poetry,
