Yo this is a great thread right here. I remember Brand Nubian being one of the most popular groups in Native Tongues even more so than De la and Tribe cause their music was harder and thought provoking. For some reason I don't see them getting honored in VH1 Hip Hop Honors anytime soon and Grand Puba is one of the most underrated mcs of all time. People talk out of line of the 5% so much because they know absolutely nothing about them and in the beginning of the Wake Up video Chino posted in post 3 my brother Born Justice tells you what our duty is in one short sentence, TO TEACH, plain and simple. That's not good enough for some people, they want you to die. When you die they will call you a great man or "revolutionary". :smh:

I can go on for week months and days about what's being said in this song and what's going on in the video, see that's the thing about great artists like Brand Nubian and Immortal Technique, when you speak about their music you'r not going to be discussing any bullshit and it's a building process cause they give you jewels which are valuable, like life.
