listen back to other producer's shit!...peep out your competition...industry cats and locals....usually I get motivated by just doin' that...I listen back to other people's shit...and I'm like fuck that..I can make somethin' hotter than that....and just do that...I also like watchin' producer videos...you know them joints that shows other major producers makin' beats live from scratch..I always benefit from those.......

Ive been producing for Knoc the last year and Im in a situation where we have picked up an invester (TCB Drilling) who is putting out our future projects.

We are in negotiations for distribution with WB, Interscope, Universal and the invester wanted me to concentrate on producing hits for the projects, so he told me to quit my job, we signed a contract and he pays me a lump sum every month.

its been dope cuz I get to go to meetings, see the politics, and build a network outside of my camp.

When I get blocks ...that's my remedy. I listen to the old shyt that made me wanna do what I do...then I listen to newer shyt(the good shyt) to keep updated wit the trend of the music..then I might listen to some of my own older stuff that I thought was just Super Fantastic.
